You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations.
- Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis results.
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of the Center Physician’s standing orders and arranging transport to emergency care facilities.
- Consult with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs regarding unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues involving donor safety and eligibility.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and decide whether further evaluation by occupational health/ER is required; refer to EHS guidance.
- Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats in the local community.
- High‑school diploma or graduate‑equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned:
Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). - Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Successfully complete the FDA‑approved training requirements for a Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

CompensationU.S. Hourly Wage Range: $33.44 – $45.98. The actual wage offered may depend on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. Employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives and participate in benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, well‑being benefits, sick time (up to 80 hours per calendar year), and paid vacation (up to 120 hours for new hires).
