Position: Compassionate CNA - Flexible Shifts & Weekly Pay

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Bright Star Care (Onalaska, WI)

Bright Star Care is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide personal, developmental, and cognitive support to patients in their homes or preferred care environment.

Pay: $20–$22 per hour. Shift differentials can increase rates up to $25 per hour based on experience and scheduled shift.

Locations: Onalaska and La Crosse County, WI.

Shift Availability:

  • 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
  • 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
  • 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm
  • 10:00 pm – 6:00 am (overnight)
  • 9:00 pm – 9:00 am (overnight)

Responsibilities
  • Provide client care as directed by the Director of Nursing or RN supervisor.
  • Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
  • Help with feeding and monitoring vital signs.
  • Prevent skin breakdown through repositioning and range‑of‑motion exercises.
  • Observe and report changes in client’s physical, mental, or emotional condition.
  • Support medication self‑administration through reminders.
  • Perform light housekeeping, meal prep, bed‑making, maintaining a clean environment.
  • Ensure infection control, client safety, and adherence to care plans.
  • Provide transport for appointments or activities and participate in client teaching as needed.
  • Respond to emergencies and use equipment safely.
Skills & Qualifications
  • CNA certification.
  • Current physical exam or TB/PPD test, if applicable.
  • Valid driver’s license with insured, reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Empathy, teamwork, and respect for clients and staff.
  • Ability to travel up to 30 minutes for client care, training, or business needs.
  • Pass all pre‑hire steps including reference checks, legal work eligibility, driving record check, TB test, and drug test.
