Concession Coordinator

Overview

The City of Onalaska is seeking to hire a Concession Coordinator. Employees in this position are responsible for a variety of tasks related to concessions, supervising concessions and event operations. Scheduled hours vary for each event, but may include: mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. This is considered a limited-term employment position. Work is reviewed by the Event/Recreation Coordinator.

• Maintains safe food handling practices and sanitary conditions.
• Assist with supervising, training, and evaluating seasonal or part-time staff.
• Assist with scheduling staff using scheduling software.
• Lead a crew to complete daily customer service and tasks.
• Greet customers ina friendly andtimely manner andtake concession orders from customers.
• Assist in kitchen process such as preparation, cooking, and serving products.
• Process the order on cash register and return correct change; follow City cash handling policies and procedures.
• Balance cash drawer each shift or as directed following established cash handling policies.
• Prepare and provide concession supplies ordered by customers.
• Maintain cleanliness in concession area and surrounding eating areas.
• Follow safe food handling procedures at all times.
• Plan and lead event set-up and tear down.
• Assist with purchasing, shopping and stocking product inventory.
• Prepares invoices for payment.
• Maintains concessions menu and prepares concessions product for sale.
• Manages cash handing, deposits, and daily accounting receipts.
• Keeps accurate records of product ordered, receipts of products purchased and delivered, accident reports.
• Performs and supervises maintenance and general housekeeping of concession stand according to Health Department Standards.
• Performs accounting duties including balancing cash drawers, performing daily deposits, preparing deposit bags, tracking sales, purchases, register overages and shortages.
• Assists with in season staff training on customer service, equipment operations, suggestive selling and safe food handling procedures.
• Motivates staff to provide great customer service.
• Completes paperwork as required (timesheets, accident reports, incident reports, payment requests, etc.).
• Other duties as requested or assigned.

Wage range for this seasonal, limited-term position is $15.00 to $18.00 per hour depending on qualifications and budget. Flexible scheduling available. There are no benefits associated with limited-term positions.
