Position Summary
Provides member service by acknowledging the member and identifying member needs; offering guidance and support regarding self‑service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and resolving member issues and concerns. Promotes the company’s products and services.
Assists management with supervising associates by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training on processes and procedures, and providing direction on member service approaches. Supports the Open Door Policy and participates in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.
Responsibilities- Receives and stocks supplies and merchandise from distribution centers and vendors and organizes the sales floor.
- Maintains safety of the facility by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting and hazardous material handling procedures, and reporting unsafe situations.
- Ensures maintenance of the sales floor and merchandise presentation, handling claims and returns, zoning, stocking, arranging, and pricing merchandise, and securing fragile and high‑shrink items.
- Monitors food and merchandise quality, ensuring product rotation, code dating, recalls, and sanitation standards are observed.
- Leads and participates in teams, sharing resources and information, determining customer needs and business priorities, coordinating work assignments, and modeling adaptability to change.
- Oversees picking and staging of club pick‑up orders, ensuring products are selected and staged per company policy.
- Develops, communicates, and implements processes to meet business needs, monitors progress, and identifies improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrates and supports compliance with company policies and ethical standards, providing guidance on ethics, implementing action plans, and using the Open Door Policy.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- At least 6 months of retail experience and 6 months of customer service experience.
- Preferred:
Leading a team, supervising experience including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, and managing workload of others.
The hourly wage range for this position is $22.00 to $30.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
