This Maintenance position works 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, from 3:45 pm - 12:15 am. The shift premium for 2nd shift is $1.50 per hour.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance on production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, supporting production goals, and minimizing downtime.

This position could be enrolled in and follow the guidelines of the Wisconsin Apprenticeship Program. That program entails a work-based learning structure that combines classroom instruction with on-the-job training.

Key Responsibilities

* Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery, equipment, and facility systems, which could consist of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, or mechanical problems.

* Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules.

* Maintain all production equipment in safe operating condition and ensure all work is performed safely and complies with OSHA and company policies.

* Install, calibrate, and adjust mechanical and electrical components as needed.

* Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and installations.

* Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to complete maintenance tasks.

* Perform various inspection, welding, grounds-keeping, and HVAC tasks as needed.

* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment history.

* Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues and improve reliability.

* Keep Maintenance department clean and organized.

* Other miscallaneous responsibilities as assigned.

Required Education & Qualifications

* 1-3+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.

* Knowledge of mechanical repair concepts and methods.

* Basic welding skills and knowledge of electrical wiring, HVAC, and plumbing, with willingness to gain additional knowledge both on-the-job and in classroom instruction.

* Possess strong planning, leadership, and communication skills.

* Strong ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve maintenance issues and implement effective solutions.

* Ability to use all hand tools, air wrenches, drills, screwdrivers, staple guns, etc. on a repetitive basis, as well as having the ability to use basic measuring tools and read blueprints and schematics.

* Ability to sit, stand, walk, push, pull, climb, and reach - typically eight hours per day with overtime as required.

* Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance tasks.

* Participate in "On-Call" program with maintenance co-workers.

* High school diploma or GED required.

* Associate or Bachelor's degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical/electrical technology, or related field preferred.
