Assistant Physical Therapist - PRN

Position Overview

Conduct medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist.

• Provide physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.
• Perform therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient population.
• Document treatment interventions given.
• May coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students and other support personnel.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Required.
• Licensed Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy Asst credentialed from the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Required.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.
