Our mammography service is an ACR Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center, whichrepresentsour commitment tooperatingat the highest level of quality and safety. UAB St. Vincent’s Blount is the only hospital in Blount County and isdesignatedas a Critical Access Hospital by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Leads assigned staff while performing computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists. Ensures quality imaging, patient care, workflow efficiency, regulatory compliance, and staff development within the CT service.
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- ARRT Radiography certification required.
- ARRT(CT) certification preferred for Hospital setting.
- ARRT(CT) required for IDTF (Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility).
Minimum Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited educational program in Radiologic Technology required.
