Join our compassionate team at TLC Nursing Center as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)! Situated at 212 Ellen St., Oneonta, TLC Nursing Center is dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to our residents. We are currently seeking skilled and caring LPNs to join our healthcare team.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. You will collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities Of a Licensed Practical Nurse- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitor residents for adverse reactions, and provide education on medication management and side effects.
- Assist with resident assessments, including collecting vital signs, monitoring symptoms, and documenting changes in condition.
- Provide direct nursing care, including wound care, catheter care, and assistance with activities of daily living.
- Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to certified nursing assistants (CNAs) to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care.
- Document nursing assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and outcomes.
