Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, build and maintain retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark in local stores. You will collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed.
Salary and Schedule Details- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $13.50 to $15.50 depending on skills and experience.
- Paid training is provided through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom training.
- Hourly employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule; average weekly hours are 11‑16.
- Availability week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
- Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support is required.
You’ll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores (grocery, drug, department, mass retailers). The role includes:
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Using a mobile device, you restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory, communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising activities. - Holiday support:
Additional days and extended hours during high‑demand holidays (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas). You may be required to work on the holiday itself and weekends. - Department resets:
Participate in installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Notify two weeks in advance; assignments may include evenings or weekends. - Team collaboration:
Support other merchandisers in the network as needed across territories.
This is a physically demanding job requiring consistent energy and speed. You must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally. You must kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
- Consistent transportation to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
- Paid training and onboarding.
- Eligibility for annual pay increases.
