Program Support Coordinator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Personal Allowance & Individual Funds

• Maintain and reconcile individual money ledgers and Personal Allowance accounts

• Ensure documentation is accurate and meets OPWDD requirements

• Monitor receipts, balances, and cash handling practices

• Identify discrepancies and work with staff to resolve issues

• Generate quarterly financial reports for individuals and families

Benefits & Financial Coordination

• Support Social Security, Medicaid, SNAP, and other benefits

• Complete recertifications and required documentation

• Track and follow up on benefit issues or interruptions

• Maintain required records and files

Audits & Program Support

• Conduct monthly reviews of financial documentation in Day Services and Residential programs

• Support audits in Therap and Procurify systems

• Assist with reports, minor event summaries, and documentation tracking and filing

• Provide guidance to staff on procedures and best practices

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility.

May provide technical guidance to staff regarding financial policy and procedure and regulatory compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Associate's degree in business, accounting, human services, or related field preferred.

Experience:
  • Experience with financial tracking or administrative support
  • Knowledge of Medicaid, Social Security and/or public benefits systems, preferred.
  • Knowledge of OPWDD systems is a plus
Licensure:
Valid New York State Driver's License required. Occasional travel required.
