Role & Responsibilities
The Field Construction Coordinator (FCC) supports the Project Manager and Construction Manager in the coordination and supervision of all on-site construction activities. This includes managing progress schedules, contractor performance, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The FCC plays a vital role in ensuring field execution aligns with scope, timelines, and customer standards across transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
  • Support daily construction activities by assisting with schedule coordination, site observations, documentation, and communication between contractors, project teams, and stakeholders.
  • Help maintain project records, review field information for accuracy, and assist with project closeout documentation and reporting activities.
  • Participate in site safety and environmental inspections, report concerns or incidents, and help ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with quality assurance activities including tracking drawing updates, reviewing contractor documentation, and supporting field inspections and testing activities.
  • Provide general project coordination and administrative support using internal systems, reporting tools, and document management platforms.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • 1-5 years of experience coordinating construction projects
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, MS Project)
  • Experience with SAP preferred
  • Ability to walk transmission ROWs and distribution lines in varied terrain
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
  • Availability for moderate to extensive travel and overnight stays within the service area
Certifications
  • Background check clearance per IUSA Contractor policy.
  • Valid driver's license.
