Local Pay Rate: $75/Hr on w2
Travel Pay Rate: $3306 weekly ($51.5/hr w2 + $1246/week stipend)
Job Description:
Registered Nurse (RN) position in a combined Phase I and Phase II PACU. The unit supports primarily adult patients with occasional pediatric ENT cases, providing post-anesthesia and sedation recovery care in an 8-bed PACU with strong ancillary support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Phase I and Phase II post-anesthesia nursing care
- Monitor and assess patients using Phillips monitoring system
- Utilize Aldrete post-anesthesia scoring and Braden Scale
- Recover patients following general anesthesia, moderate sedation, and MAC
- Maintain ASPAN/AORN-compliant RN-to-patient ratios
- Float between PACU and Ambulatory Surgery Unit (ASU) as required
- Participate in call rotation (approximately once per week)
- Collaborate with techs, aides, and respiratory therapists to ensure safe recovery
Requirements:
- Active RN license
- ACLS and PALS certifications (required)
- PACU or perioperative nursing experience preferred
- Ability to float between PACU and ASU
- No ventilator or intubation management required
- Ability to respond to call per facility guidelines
