Technical Tax Manager Role Description

As a Technical Tax Manager at Hall CPA, you are responsible for delivering high‑quality tax returns, ensuring client satisfaction, and mentoring and developing your team. We are looking for someone who has experience in managing clients and can elevate everyone around them.

Annual Salary + Bonus Range: $105,000 - $120,000
Areas of Responsibility- Conduct final technical reviews of tax returns and documents for individuals, partnerships, s‑corporations, trusts, and corporations, including signing tax returns
- Provide tax return debriefs to clients and maintain ongoing relationships
- Research complex tax issues and provide recommendations for resolution
- Review and facilitate tax resolution with federal and state tax authorities
- Stay updated on changes veted in tax laws and procedures
- Assist in team development of technical skills and work quality, providing mentorship and training
- Responsible for maintaining strong client relationships by managing their expectations, being responsive to their communications/emails
- Recommend other firm services to the benefit of the client. Ex: bookkeeping services, tax advisory, etc.

- Delivering on your promises with clients

- Business casual attire for client interactions
- Always use video (80% of communication is non‑verbal)

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university
- CPA or EA certification
- Experience with real estate tax matters and multi‑state tax returns
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
