Job Description Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist –In-Office with Flexibility
Hourly Pay: $18–$22 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Flexible | 20–50 hours per week (varies by workload & season)
Location: Primarily in-office (limited work-from-home flexibility as needed)
About the RoleWe’re seeking a dependable Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to support our accounting team with high-volume data entry and AP processing
. This role is primarily in-office
, with the flexibility to work from home occasionally when needed and approved.
This position is also open to Accounting students currently enrolled in college who are looking to gain hands-on, real-world accounting experience.
Workload will fluctuate throughout the year, so availability and flexibility are essential
. Some weeks may be lighter, while peak periods may require additional hours.
- Enter and process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts
- Assist with weekly and monthly AP processing cycles
- Verify invoice coding, approvals, and accuracy
- Maintain accurate and organized AP records
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams as needed
- Support general accounting and administrative tasks
- Prior Accounts Payable, accounting, or bookkeeping experience
- Currently enrolled in a college Accounting, Finance, or related program
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Ability to learn and work within accounting or ERP systems
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work in-office as the primary work location
- Willingness to work from home occasionally when approved
- Must be available and flexible based on workload and seasonal needs
- Experience in high-volume AP environments
- Construction, service-based, or multi-entity accounting exposure
- Familiarity with accounting or ERP software
- Consistent in-office collaboration and support
- Flexibility for occasional work-from-home needs
- Flexible weekly hours (20–50 depending on season)
- Strong hands-on experience for accounting students
