Controller (Client-Facing / Operational Accounting Leader)

Full-Time | $45–$55/hour

Ledger Logix is growing, and we’re looking for a Controller who thrives in operational accounting, enjoys client interaction, and brings both precision and leadership to the work.

This is not a “sit in the back office and close the books quietly” role.

This is for someone who can:

• own the month-end process,
• spot issues before they become problems,
• strengthen controls,
• and help clients build financial systems that actually support growth.

• Lead and support month-end close and financial reporting for multiple clients
• Review financial statements for accuracy and consistency
• Identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
• Implement and improve controls, processes, and documentation
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning as needed
• Resolve accounting issues, reconciliations, and discrepancies
• Coordinate audit and tax support
• Guide staff accountants/bookkeepers on best practices and quality standards

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 10+ years of accounting experience (Controller-level strongly preferred)
• CPA preferred
• Strong GAAP knowledge and operational accounting experience
• Quick Books Online experience strongly preferred (QB Certified a plus)
• Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail
• Client-facing confidence, strong communication, and accountability

• Monday–Friday (occasional evenings/weekends during deadlines)
• Hybrid office/home-based with some client travel
• Pay range: $45–$55/hour (based on experience)
