Senior Accountant, Tax Accountant
We’re working with a well-established, close-knit CPA firm known for its stability, loyal client base, and a refreshingly direct approach. The firm is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their 10-person team and take on a key role across tax, compilations, and review work.
This is a generalist position
, ideal for someone with at least five years of experience and a CPA designation who enjoys handling a bit of everything. The firm does zero audit
, focusing instead on compilations, reviews, compliance-based services, and tax returns (mostly business returns and their related individuals). You’ll work on real estate clients, contractors, and service businesses, most with multiple entities and revenues in the millions.
The culture is hands-on, fast-paced, and built on trust. Everyone’s expected to take full ownership of their work. The team works fully in-office five days a week
, with the occasional opportunity to work from home. While that won’t suit everyone, it’s a key part of what makes the team so close-knit and aligned.
The managing partner brings both high expectations and a strong sense of loyalty, he’s deeply involved, believes in accountability, and keeps the atmosphere light with plenty of humor. The firm has extremely low turnover
, and team members tend to stay for the long haul because they learn a lot and enjoy the environment. Fridays often include lunch out, and during busy season, the firm brings in a massage therapist weekly to help keep the team energized.
- Has 5+ years in public accounting and holds a CPA
- Enjoys generalist work and wants to work closely with clients from start to finish
- Thrives in a direct, fast-moving environment with strong peer accountability
- Wants to grow with a firm where strong performance is recognized and rewarded
Here’s the part most people get wrong: you don’t need to tick every box to introduce yourself. The apply button is not legally binding. Worst case? We chat, decide the timing isn’t right, and you carry on. Best case? You bag yourself a fantastic new position.
Prefer the human touch? Splendid. Ring me up. I’m at . Also, I get it can be hard to talk with the fear of your Managing Partner walking past your office. I’m around early 6am EST and after hours too.
