• Conduct complex audits and review refund requests to ensure compliance with Arizona tax laws
• Analyze and document audit findings, preparing detailed reports and work papers
• Research and resolve taxpayer appeals, providing clear explanations of audit adjustments
• Educate taxpayers on tax laws and ensure compliance through the audit process
• Attend and represent the department at informal and formal hearings as needed

• Any combination of education and experience that meets the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA) for the position, typically including a relevant degree
• Minimum two (2) years of related experience as an Auditor or equivalent experience
• Valid, US State-issued Driver License
• Knowledge of corporate tax policies, applicable federal and state tax laws, GAAP, and GAAS
• Strong communication, mathematical, organizational, and time management skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a closely related field
• Experience with Continuous Improvement/LEAN methodologies
