Accounting Manager

Pugh Executive Search is assisting our client with offices near the Galleria in the search for an Accounting Manager.

• Lead and develop senior and staff accountants, reviewing daily and monthly work for accuracy and completeness
• Own key components of the general ledger, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and month‑end close
• Prepare consolidated reporting package
• Srengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with US GAAP
• Serve as a contact for external auditors and participate in audit preparation
• Support process improvements, documentation, and operational efficiency initiatives
• Partner with leadership on special projects and ad‑hoc analysis

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
  Master’s a plus
• CPA or CPA‑eligible strongly preferred
• 5+ years of progressive, full US GAAP g/l and reporting experience, preferably from a large corporation with multiple locations
• Experience combining audit with general ledger or corporate accounting is a strong plus
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls
• Self‑driven, organized, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment
• Supervisory experience
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with accounting systems and Excel
