About the opportunityAs the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring all reconciliation and journal processes meet legislative, statutory, and Health Share NSW compliance requirements. You will support the maintenance and reconciliation of the General Ledger, manage aspects of electronic banking and capital accounting, and assist with the production of essential financial information.

What you’ll be doing- Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger, prepare and post journals, and complete day‑to‑day financial accounting tasks in line with Accounting Standards, GST legislation, government accounting requirements, and internal policies.
- Undertake key corporate banking functions using commercial internet‑based banking platforms.
- Plan, prioritise and coordinate workload to meet team goals, deadlines, and service expectations.
- Liaise with customers and stakeholders to ensure service levels are met and professional, timely support is provided.
- Assist senior finance staff with complex tasks, projects, system reviews, and the development and implementation of improved policies and procedures.
