Through continuous innovations in tissue processing technology and surgical devices, advocacy for patient access and simplified payor reimbursement policies, Cornea Gen is advancing the next generation of cornea support of this goal, we are looking for an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our Finance team.
Whatdoes an Accounts Payable Coordinator do?
The Accounts Payable Coordinator supports the full cycle Accounts Payables process, ensuring timely, accurate invoice processing and vendor payments while maintaining strong internal and external relationships.
- Support weekly payment run preparation
- Assist with month-end Accounts Payable accruals.
- Enter invoices into Centime (our AP processing system) on a timely basis and verify that all invoices are coded to the correct general ledger account, department, entity, project, and accounting period.
- Confirm that all invoices have been approved, either through the PO system or manually, according to company policy.
- Provide timely follow-up on invoice and PO discrepancies, rejections both externally with vendors and with internal stakeholders.
- Support interim and year-end audit requests as needed.
- Interact with other departments within the organization, providing response to vendor payment inquiries and/or concerns.
- Monitor the Accounts Payable inbox and vendor communications daily
- Following up with vendors regarding payment inquiries and billing issues.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce bottlenecks in the payment process.
- As time permits, assist Accounts Receivable with credit card processing overage
- Perform other duties as assigned while striving to support Cornea Gen’ s mission, vision and values.
This is a full-time, salaried position reporting to our Manager Revenue Cycle, Billing Accountant. This position works a hybrid schedule with at least one day a month in-person in our Seattle office, with the remaining days available to work at home/remotely.
What are you looking for in a candidate?To be successful as an Accounts Payable Coordinator, the ideal candidate should have:
- Associate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and customer or vendor service relevant experience required.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Previous Accounts Payable experience preferred
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships with key business partners, both internal and external
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
The minimum hourly rate for this position is $24.00/hour and the maximum hourly rate is $27.00/hour. Individual compensation will vary within this range based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience as they relate to the requirements for this position.
