Accounting Manager - Fully Remote

A growing fintech company providing accounting and advisory services to businesses is seeking an Accounting Manager/Senior Client Advisor to join its team. This role oversees client financial operations while leading a small delivery team in a fast-paced, cloud-based environment. The Accounting Manager acts as a trusted financial partner to clients while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high service standards across engagements.

• Serve as the primary financial advisor and day-to-day contact for a portfolio of clients
• Lead monthly close cycles and present financial results and insights to clients
• Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality financial reporting

• Manage and review work performed by 1–3 bookkeepers or staff accountants
• Oversee AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and transactional accounting
• Coach team members and uphold accounting best practices

• Own month-end close, general ledger, and accrual-based accounting
• Prepare and review reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules
• Reconcile tax returns to financial statements and resolve variances

• Maintain service quality, deadlines, and budget expectations
• Identify workflow improvements and operational efficiencies
• Implement and optimize cloud-based accounting tools and system integrations

• 3+ years of experience managing or reviewing the work of bookkeepers or staff accountants
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and month-end close
• Experience working in cloud-based accounting environments
• Background in public accounting, consulting, or professional services preferred
• Exposure to SMB, tech, e-commerce, or real estate clients is a plus
