Endevica Bio is a twenty-person biotech company at an inflection point. We've just cleared major scientific milestones, and we're preparing to spin out a separate entity that will be on a path to becoming a public company. We need a Staff Accountant who wants to be part of something from the very beginning—someone ready to help lay the financial foundation as we build the infrastructure for this spinout and position it for public markets.

This isn't a typical accounting role. You won't be sitting in a back office processing transactions. You'll be twenty feet from the CEO, watching strategy unfold in real time. You'll work directly with the CFO we're currently hiring, a strong FP&A partner, and a team of exceptional scientists working on treatments for obesity, cancer cachexia, and other serious conditions.

We're building something from scratch, and that requires the kind of collaboration, spontaneous problem‑solving, and team cohesion that only happens when you're in the same room. You’ll build accounting operations that will support the spinout, working in SAP S/4 Hana and coordinating with external accounting, tax, and audit partners. You’ll grow your technical skills in an environment where your work directly impacts the company's trajectory and take on increasing responsibility as we scale.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2–4 years of accounting experience (public accounting, industry, or combination)
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (SAP experience is a plus)
• Self-starter mentality—you see what needs to be done and do it
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to build processes from scratch
• Must be able to work on‑site full‑time in Northbrook, IL
• CPA candidate or CPA is a plus, but not required
