Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Peabody, Massachusetts. In this role, you will provide essential accounting support, ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes. This position offers a flexible remote work option.

Responsibilities:

- Record and reconcile journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.

- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are up-to-date and properly balanced.

- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures to meet deadlines.

- Collaborate with other teams to address accounting issues and provide financial analysis.

- Utilize Net Suite to track and organize financial data efficiently.

- Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement best practices.

Requirements

- Proficiency in recording journal entries and maintaining general ledgers.

- Familiarity with Net Suite or similar accounting software.

- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
