Position: Big Night Entertainment Group - Accounts Payable Specialist
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, a typical day might include the following:

* Assisting with processing high volume locations invoices and maintain A/P record keeping

* Issuing timely payments to vendors

* Evaluating supplier discounts and apply accordingly

* Reconciling invoices, purchase orders, and inventory received

* Managing merchandise order discrepancies and manage credits due if applicable

* Reconciling vendor statements and coordinate with vendors on any discrepancies

* Audit construction and other project spends vs. budgets in accordance to contracts

* Provide training to new venue employees on the AP approval process

* Utilizing judgment and discretion review, approve, and reject purchase orders entered by employees based on budgeted allocations and cash impacts

* Determining and executing weekly check runs based on cash position

* Being an active team member in month end close process

* Collaborating cross-functionally on systems and processes to support business needs and drive continuous improvement including operations and restaurant management

* Data entry

* Filing receipts, reporting and other accounting paperwork

* Other duties as assigned

This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:

* 1 to 2 years finance-related administrative experience preferred

* Accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience a plus

* Hospitality or retail industry experience a plus

* Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance-related field preferred, high school diploma required

* Strong attention to detail

* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

* Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

* Organizational skills are key, must be able to utilize these skills to maintain a high-volume shared inbox

* Proficient use of Microsoft Excel

* Basic understanding of G/L accounts and Inventory accounting experience a plus

* Workday experience a plus

* This position is located in beautiful new office at The Hub on Causeway with scenic views of the Zakim bridge. This full-time role is primarily office-based and is NOT a remote opportunity

* Following the successful completion of the new hire training period, this position offers a hybrid schedule with 2 work from home days per week.

* Job functions require hours of sitting, typing, and use of a computer

* May be required to lift or move up to 30 lbs using proper lifting techniques and work in a fast-paced, high energy environment

* Non-typical office hours may be requested
