Acquisitions Accountant (Consultant) —

Location:

Southeast U.S. (Remote; CT or ET hours). Duration: ~6 months. Rate: $55–60/hour.

We’re partnering with a PE-backed healthcare organization seeking an Acquisitions Accountant to support acquisition accounting and post-acquisition accounting transitions. This interim role will play a key part in supporting implementation activities for newly acquired entities.

• Support acquisition accounting, including evaluation of goodwill and stock-based compensation
  .
• Review purchase agreements to assess accounting treatment and purchase rights.
• Calculate and record acquisition-related journal entries in Net Suite
  .
• Assist with accounting implementation and transition activities for acquired entities.
• Support acquisition work streams as transactions are released in phases.
• Partner with internal finance leadership and external valuation advisors during acquisition accounting efforts.

• Purchase accounting experience (ASC 805 required).
• Healthcare experience within a PE-backed environment
  .
• Strong Net Suite experience.
• Ability to work independently in a project-based consulting role.
• Strong technical accounting judgment and attention to detail.

This is a hands-on, interim opportunity for someone who enjoys acquisition accounting, implementation work, and supporting fast-moving transaction environments.
