Remote Accounting Specialist

In this role, you will play a crucial part in our financial operations by performing a variety of accounting and administrative tasks. Your expertise will ensure accurate financial reporting and support various departments and clients in their bookkeeping needs. You will leverage your knowledge of established accounting principles to foster collaboration and improve processes while maintaining a strong focus on detail and efficiency.

• Perform accounts payable functions including receiving and entering vendor invoices, processing payments, and vendor management.
• Review and post weekly employee timesheets.
• Accurately record financial transactions, including client payments and cash disbursements.
• Participate in month-end close activities, including journal entry postings and reconciliation of accounts.
• Support staff with specialized accounting requests such as collections and generating reports.
• Conduct quality control reviews on internal documents and project deliverables.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and customers to maintain relationships.

• Degree in accounting or business administration, or 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles preferred.
• Effective knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite; experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
