Staff Accountant
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role involves handling a variety of accounting and tax-related tasks, providing key support in financial reporting, and contributing to the efficiency of accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, possess excellent analytical skills, and be adept with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities- Handle daily accounting tasks, including reconciliations and monthly close processes.
- Manage financial reporting using Sage Intacct, Excel, and SQL, with a transition to SAP.
- Oversee daily debt, cash, and investment positions.
- Post daily corporate payments.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and budgets.
- Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Compile data and reports for auditors, tax accountants, and insurance providers.
- Support regulatory and insurance filings, excluding tax-specific filings.
- Identify and implement electronic efficiencies in accounting processes.
- Assist with tax-related data gathering and preparation activities.
- Pull financial and transactional data to support tax filings and compliance.
- Prepare and maintain tax support worksheets and schedules.
- Prepare, review, and support sign-off of tax-related account reconciliations.
- Support monthly and quarterly close processes with tax-related tasks.
- Assist with sales tax reporting and compliance support.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting.
- Proficiency with ERP or accounting systems.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
- Experience with month end close, general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Must be a self‑starter who shows initiative.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with SAP (preferred).
- Experience with fixed asset accounting and local tax/sales & use (preferred).
This position requires working in the office 4‑5 days a week for the first 1‑2 months, followed by a shift to 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The role reports to the tax lead, and there are no other team members on the tax accounting team.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.00 – $35.00 per hour. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
