Responsibilities- Finance Manager – manages all financial functions for Kearfott Corporation, for the respective division assigned to.
- Gathers and compiles the Company's sales forecasting, reporting, and control data.
- Guide, direct, and instruct subordinates as needed to improve performance and provide timely information to management.
- Supervises cost accounting and general accounting functions.
- Prepares closing entries and closing of books each fiscal month, prepares financial statements, and analyzes monthly financials.
- Initiates monthly cycle counting of inventory stockrooms and work-in-progress.
- Supports year-end financial audit and periodic bank audits.
- Provides documentation for Government audits of direct and indirect rates.
- Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
- Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information.
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Manage and monitor aging receivables and accounts payable.
- Analyzes inventory accounting data; creates monthly inventory reconciliation.
- Supports development of budgets/forecasts.
- Works on special projects as required.
- Supports and assists internal department reporting requirements, such as audit schedules.
- Tracks budget for capital assets, assists with approvals of capital appropriations, reports data to the home office, reconciles assets with the home office, and ensures assets are tagged.
- Provides ad-hoc reports as required.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts and reserves
- Ability to follow through until the tasks are complete
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Ability to research, compile, analyze, and interpret data in an ERP environment
- Deadline-oriented, good time management, and attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and a minimum of five years of manufacturing accounting experience required.
- CMA or CPA preferred
- ERP experience required; IFS preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, is a must.
- Minimum of five years of people management experience
- Working and collaborating with other functions and departments.
- Must be a US Citizen
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $130,000 - $160,000 annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, and internal consistency.
