Responsibilities
  • Finance Manager – manages all financial functions for Kearfott Corporation, for the respective division assigned to.
  • Gathers and compiles the Company's sales forecasting, reporting, and control data.
  • Guide, direct, and instruct subordinates as needed to improve performance and provide timely information to management.
  • Supervises cost accounting and general accounting functions.
  • Prepares closing entries and closing of books each fiscal month, prepares financial statements, and analyzes monthly financials.
  • Initiates monthly cycle counting of inventory stockrooms and work-in-progress.
  • Supports year-end financial audit and periodic bank audits.
  • Provides documentation for Government audits of direct and indirect rates.
  • Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
  • Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information.
  • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
  • Manage and monitor aging receivables and accounts payable.
  • Analyzes inventory accounting data; creates monthly inventory reconciliation.
  • Supports development of budgets/forecasts.
  • Works on special projects as required.
  • Supports and assists internal department reporting requirements, such as audit schedules.
  • Tracks budget for capital assets, assists with approvals of capital appropriations, reports data to the home office, reconciles assets with the home office, and ensures assets are tagged.
  • Provides ad-hoc reports as required.
Critical Competencies
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts and reserves
  • Ability to follow through until the tasks are complete
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Ability to research, compile, analyze, and interpret data in an ERP environment
  • Deadline-oriented, good time management, and attention to detail
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and a minimum of five years of manufacturing accounting experience required.
  • CMA or CPA preferred
  • ERP experience required; IFS preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, is a must.
  • Minimum of five years of people management experience
  • Working and collaborating with other functions and departments.
  • Must be a US Citizen
Compensation and Benefits

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $130,000 - $160,000 annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, and internal consistency.
