AP Accountant

Nitto Belgium was established in 1974 in Genk and is the largest manufacturing site in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East & Africa) of the Japanese Nitto Group. With more than 500 employees, we develop and produce sealing materials and various industrial adhesive tapes such as double-sided tapes and surface protection tapes for industries including the automotive, semiconductor, furniture, paper production, aerospace and metal processing sectors.

To strengthen our accounting team, we are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Accounts Payable Accountant who will help ensure stability within a critical part of our finance department.

An AP Accountant at Nitto Belgium ensures the correct, timely, and compliant processing of incoming invoices. You act as an important point of contact for suppliers and internal departments and play an active role in improving AP processes.

As an AP Accountant, your responsibilities include:

• Booking incoming invoices and ensuring timely approvals
• Accurate general and analytical accounting of purchase invoices
• Allocating costs to the correct period, cost account, cost centre, and applying the correct VAT rules
• Daily communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders to assist with questions or issues
• Performing reconciliations, handling balance confirmations and preparing declarations for the National Bank of Belgium (NBB)
• Actively contributing to the simplification and improvement of processes

Ideally, our AP Accountant has:

• Strong communication skills for interaction with suppliers
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Flexibility to adapt to the fast-paced environment of a manufacturing company
• A mindset focused on continuous improvement
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English
