Summary

Fully Remote position of AP Specialist for multiple locations. Responsible for managing the location's financial transactions related to vendor payments, ensuring invoices are processed and paid accurately and on time. This position will report directly to the AP/AR Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Entering and reconciling invoices and purchase orders.
• Support the other AP personnel when needed.
• Participate in Check Runs.
• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports, recording entries.
• Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal ; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
• Pay employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances, preparing checks.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Contacting field offices for late payments.
• Ensuring the timely completion of all AP transactions for month end.
• Other duties "as assigned".

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Some College Preferred
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite;
  Outlook, Word, and Excel.
