Staff Accountant

About the Role

Career Takes is sourcing on behalf of a leading global entertainment company seeking a Staff Accountant to support day‑to‑day financial operations within a fast‑growing creative organization. This role is ideal for an organized and analytical accounting professional who enjoys working across teams to maintain financial accuracy, support reporting processes, and ensure smooth accounts payable and revenue tracking. You’ll work closely with internal departments and external partners to help maintain strong financial controls and support key accounting processes as the organization continues to grow.

This is a hybrid position based in Santa Monica, with in‑office collaboration three days per week and remote work two days per week.

• Manage accounts payable processes , including vendor invoice processing and payment tracking
• Maintain vendor and customer master data in financial systems
• Review expense reports and outstanding invoices to ensure accurate accruals
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure data accuracy
• Support revenue cycle management , including billing and collections
• Assist with external audit preparation and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial processes run smoothly

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience in industry or public accounting
• Knowledge of general financial and managerial accounting principles
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience working in the entertainment, media, or music industry
• Familiarity with IFRS and US GAAP accounting standards
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP

Estimated salary range: $71,000 – $80,000 annually , depending on experience and qualifications.
