As a Client Accounting Services Manager, you will be the face of Excelsior and will be primarily responsible for the services we provide to your clients. Responsibilities for this role include those typical of an experienced Controller or Finance Director, such as:

• Oversight and completion of the month-end close process
• Financial statement preparation and analysis
• Coordination of and preparation for financial statement audits and reviews
• Cash flow forecasting
• Budget preparation and reporting

Our clients come in all shapes and sizes. About half are nonprofits, about a quarter are earlier-stage start-ups (primarily in the software/technology and life sciences sectors) and the remaining quarter are typically closely held or owner operated companies in all manner of industries, including professional services, manufacturing & distribution, retail, private capital and other small-to-medium sized businesses.

Although we avoid overtime except in emergency situations, work at Excelsior can still be fast paced didates well suited for this position enjoy a faster paced environment and typically have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a controllership or commensurate role, and/or a CPA license and equivalent public accounting experience.
