Accounts Payable Manager; On-site

Overview

The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable function to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. The role ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers, maintains accurate financial records and control reports, and routinely reviews accounting reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvements or cost‑savings. The manager also reviews and evaluates the accounts payable register to ensure accuracy.

• Code and enter invoices into the SAP system ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Distribute invoices for approval and retrieve invoices for payment upon approval.
• Perform check runs, wires and ACH payments, obtaining appropriate signatures for checks.
• Maintain new vendors and update changes to existing vendors.
• Monitor vendor statements and past‑due invoices for payment.
• Review and process all expense reports in Certify.
• Research invoices and assist external auditors with year‑end audit and tax returns.
• Process inventory invoices as needed and when assigned.
• Reconcile accounts payable GL accounts as needed.
• Prepare all 1099 and 1096 forms yearly.
• Reconcile petty cash and prepare miscellaneous bank deposits.
• Manage, track and ensure timely payments of business licenses, real‑estate taxes and personal taxes.
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and acceptable accounting practices.
• Manage monthly/quarterly tax payments.
• Drive process improvements to streamline AP workflows and adapt to any company procedure changes.
• Assist with other projects as needed.

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
• Minimum of 5 years of successful accounts payable experience, including 2+ years in a management role.
• 10‑key data entry experience.
• Invoice management and verification experience.
• Accounts payable software experience (SAP preferred).
• Payment processing and posting experience.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Strong analytical thinking, oral and written communication skills.

Base Pay range: $98,000 – $127,000 annually (Denver market). Home office positions may be eligible for consideration for an annual bonus based on company performance. Employer will not sponsor visa or work authorization.
