About the RoleOpportunities for Otsego is seeking a financial professional to perform accounting functions for the agency, including grant reimbursement submissions, cost accounting, accounts receivable, and monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings. The Accountant will also review in‑kind donation documentation, administer payroll as needed, and ensure compliance with accounting procedures and funding source requirements.
Salary$63,000 - $69,000 annually

- Perform accounting functions related to grant reimbursement submissions, cost accounting, accounts receivable, monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing, and journal entries.
- Ensure compliance with accounting procedures and funding source requirements.
- Review in‑kind donation documentation, post qualified contributions to general ledger, and prepare monthly agency donation report.
- Administer agency-wide payroll as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of training and work experience.
- New graduates willing to be trained are encouraged to apply.
- Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles for not‑for‑profit agencies.
- Knowledge of OMB Uniform Guidance; proficiency in computer financial applications.
