Sr. Accountant

** Growing Entertainment Co. seeking to add to growing team.*
* We're seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support financial operations for a growing entertainment company. This role will manage close processes, financial reporting, and compliance while partnering cross-functionally across the business. This role has option of working from home 1 day a week.

Responsibilities

+ Lead month-end and quarter-end close, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

+ Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports

+ Oversee accounts payable, vendor relationships, and cash application

+ Ensure revenue recognition compliance under U.S. GAAP

+ Improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation

+ Research accounting treatment for complex transactions

+ Support annual audits and liaise with external auditors

+ Partner with FP& A, production, legal, and business teams

+ Contribute to system enhancements and ad hoc projects

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

+ 4-7+ years of accounting experience

+ Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge

+ Audit support experience

+ Advanced Excel; ERP experience required

+ Entertainment/media experience preferred

+ CPA strongly preferred.

Requirements

- At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting and/or auditing.

- Background in the entertainment industry, specifically in film or television, is preferred.

- Experience in production accounting is a plus.

- Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting principles is highly valued.

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.

- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions; familiarity with High level ERP system

- Demonstrated expertise in managing month-end close processes, journal entries, and reconciliations.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
