Bishop & Co. is partnering with a locally respected CPA firm to seek a detail-oriented Staff Accountant who’s ready to jump in and take ownership of client books, reconciliations, and financial statement prep. This role supports a variety of small business clients and requires someone comfortable working independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate is experienced in bookkeeping, thrives in a paperless environment, and is passionate about helping clients stay financially organized and informed.
Key Responsibilities- Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Ensure payroll reports are aligned with GL entries
- Assist with financial statement preparation and month‑end close
- Review bank transactions and third‑party data for accuracy
- Work with cloud-based tools like Quick Books Online, , CCH software, and MS Office
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Quick Books Online certification or willingness to obtain it
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Ability to work from a dedicated home office environment
- Stable and growing CPA firm with long-standing local clients

- Salary: $63,000 to $70,000K, commensurate with experience
- Location: Honolulu - In office
