Government Accounting Consultant — Hybrid + Training

Accountant/Consultant job at Get It - Finance. Westerville, OH. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant/Consultant to join a dynamic consulting team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to specialize in governmental accounting, serving a diverse range of local government entities, including cities, counties, school districts, libraries, townships, and more. The work is both rewarding and impactful, contributing to the financial health and transparency of local government organizations. As a consultant, your primary focus will be preparing financial statements for local governments, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

You will also be involved in Agreed Upon Procedures (AUP) reports, internal auditing, cash reconciliations, and a variety of other services tailored to governmental entities. This position requires limited travel within Ohio, and you will receive extensive training in governmental accounting, with no prior experience necessary. Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.0
CPA certification or the ability to obtain a CPA license is preferred

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
