Senior Development Accountant | West Palm Beach, FL | Mixed Use Real Estate
Our team is working with a leading mixed-use developer & manager looking to hire a Senior Accountant for their development team. The Senior supports the accounting and financial reporting process for construction and development projects, including reviewing the general ledger, preparing accruals and journal entries, and maintaining compliance with GAAP. Responsibilities include preparing monthly and year-end work papers, managing construction loan requisitions, and overseeing invoice coding, budget tracking, vendor payments, and job cost reporting.
The position also coordinates with auditors, lenders, owners, and external partners to ensure timely and accurate financial information. Additionally, the role assists with special projects and supports overall financial operations related to project accounting and loan management.

Responsibilities:
Review and analyze the general ledger, financial statements, and prepare appropriate accrual and adjusting journal entries in accordance with GAAP
Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and year-end work papers
Prepare monthly construction loan requisitions
Review and coding of contractor/vendor invoices, coordinating approval of the invoices, monitoring the loan budget, ensuring timely funding of the loan requisition, and overseeing payment of vendors
Assist in the management of auditor engagements for the completion of annual audit reports
Provide timely and accurate information to the owners, lenders, and outside partners
Ensure that all job cost transactions are properly recorded in the accounting system and job cost reports
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
3+ years of professional experience, CPA, and public accounting experience a plus
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently with attention to details
Strong analytical ability
Excellent written and communication skills
Proficiency with the standard suite of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Knowledge of JD Edwards/ Textura /Hubble reporting software a plus
