Position Overview
The Non-Profit Audit Senior will play a crucial role in providing audit services to our non-profit clients. This position is responsible for leading audit engagements, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering high-quality service while mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead audit engagements for non-profit organizations, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Review and evaluate internal controls and make recommendations for improvements.
- Prepare and present detailed audit reports to clients, outlining findings and recommendations.
- Manage multiple audit projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded.
- Mentor and train junior audit staff, providing guidance on technical and professional development.
- Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations affecting non-profits, including ERISA and employee benefit plans.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in audit, with a focus on non-profit organizations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of audit procedures, regulations, and compliance requirements for non-profits.
- Experience with employee benefit plans (EBP) and ERISA regulations is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
