Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant

As an Accounting Supervisor, you will lead a team of accounting professionals while supporting accurate, timely, and compliant accounting operations. You’ll partner with business and finance teams to manage core accounting activities, help resolve accounting issues, and support continuous improvement in how work gets done.
Responsibilities- Runs workforce planning and career development activities for team members
- Holds team accountable for performing all work in accordance with requirements, standards, policies, procedures and processes
- Coordinates efforts to ensure adequate financial accounting controls and integrity of our financial records
- Collaborates with others to establish and maintain accounting policies, standards and processes in compliance with GAAP and accounting regulations
- Collaborates to develop and handle financial analysis and reporting
- Leads sophisticated projects
- Communicates with senior leadership regarding data and analysis
- Leads staff responsible for certain regulated general accounting responsibilities
- Identifies and supports opportunities to automate accounting processes
- Supports process and technical challenges for Corporate and Project allocations
- Ensures adherence to GAAP, FERC and SOX policies and supports audit and financial reporting requirements
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum six (6) years of multifaceted accounting experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
- Deep understanding of accounting procedures and policies
- Previous experience leading or supervising a team is preferred
