Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, timely financial reporting, and compliance with healthcare industry regulations. This role will work closely with the Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams to assist with month-end close, accounts payable, cash management, and payroll, while contributing to the overall integrity of the company's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable processing, cash management, and payroll support.

* Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

* Support the maintenance of internal controls and ensure adherence to company policies and healthcare industry compliance standards.

* Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis aligned with the Company's growth objectives.

* Partner with accounting team members to share knowledge, support cross-training, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

* Assist in coordinating external financial audits and regulatory compliance reviews, providing documentation, and supporting schedules as needed.

* Prepare and analyze financial reports and schedules to support management decision-making and provide accurate data to the Accounting Manager and leadership team.

* Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and processes, contributing to greater efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

* Support communication and coordination with external partners, including auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions, as directed by the Accounting Manager.

* Stay informed about healthcare industry trends, regulatory changes, and accounting best practices to support compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).

* Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a managerial or supervisory role.

* Demonstrated experience in accounts payable and cash management; exposure to payroll processing is a plus.

* Strong knowledge of GAAP, healthcare financial regulations, and compliance requirements.

* Experience in the healthcare industry, with an understanding of revenue cycle management, reimbursements, and third-party payers (Medicare, Medicaid, private insurers).

* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, Net Suite, Quick Books) and advanced Excel skills.

* Exceptional leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and present financial insights to executive leadership.

* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
