Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant (Remote – East Coast Hours)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) organization. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative finance team while supporting core accounting functions in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $70,000 – $80,000
• Bonus opportunity
• Equity participation
• Fully remote (must be able to work East Coast business hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Analyze financial data and investigate variances
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities as needed
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records in accordance with company policies
• Assist with inventory accounting and CPG-related financial transactions
• Support external audits and financial reporting requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, or manufacturing accounting
• CPA candidate or pursuit of professional certification is a plus
