Experienced Staff Accountant

We’ve experienced strong growth over the past decade and have a clear roadmap for continued expansion. We’re looking for an experienced staff accountant who wants to grow beyond compliance work and play an active role in client relationships and advisory services.

• This position pays $31.25–$36.05 per hour (approximately $65,000–$75,000 annually), depending on experience.

• Prepare client work papers and income tax returns
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy
• Produce and analyze financial statements to support client decision‑making
• Manage both cash and accrual basis accounting engagements
• Prepare and file various state and local tax returns
• Communicate directly with clients regarding accounting and tax matters
• Collaborate with team members on tax planning and advisory strategies
• Participate in process improvements and special projects as needed

• You independently manage client engagements with minimal oversight
• Clients view you as a reliable and responsive point of contact
• Financial reporting and tax filings are accurate and delivered on time
• You contribute ideas that improve internal processes and client outcomes

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 3–4 years of experience in public accounting
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proactive problem‑solving with strong decision‑making skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Experience with Quick Books Online

Preferred:

• CPA or progress toward CPA licensure
• Quick Books Online Pro Advisor certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Grant and/or Nonprofit Accounting, familiar with audit preparation

This position is based in our Fresno, California office, with flexible hybrid/remote work options depending on team and client needs.
