Senior Accountant - Deferred Revenue

Senior Accountant. Next Step Recruiting is working with a fantastic national retailer in the Plano / Frisco, TX area, who is looking to add to their team because of growth. This role will handle complex reconciliation work and journal entries each month in preparation for the month-end close and concentrate on deferred revenue, revenue accrual, reviewing agreements, tracking licensing, professional, and management fees, etc.

Interesting balance sheet, P&L, and variance analysis work.

Candidates must have:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, along with 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience working through deferred revenue, revenue accruals, billing, and accounts receivable accounting issues
• Strong experience with meeting month-end close deadlines, working through journal entries, doing some P&L and Balance Sheet analysis, variance analysis, etc.
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong communication skills

Our client is known as a fantastic place to work with strong accounting leaders and a family-friendly environment. They run a 4-day onsite, Friday remote work schedule so candidates must be local to the DFW market, with a commute to the Plano/Frisco area being ok.
