Custom Health is seeking a Staff Accountant to be part of our amazing team!
What we do!Custom Health is the infrastructure that makes medication work at home, where ongoing clinical oversight is limited. We connect pharmacy operations, in-home technology, and pharmacist‑led clinical care to create continuous visibility into how medications are used and how patients respond, enabling earlier engagement and better outcomes. Provides a comprehensive tech‑enabled med management and managed care solution resulting in 98% medication adherence for our patients across the United States and Canada.
Operations are powered by proprietary software which orchestrates: i) fully automated owned and network pharmacies, ii) at-home medication management solutions, iii) real‑time clinical oversight by 200+ pharmacist‑lead clinicians and iv) the collection of real‑time, real‑world data and insights.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations with supporting documentation.
- Maintain accounting databases by recording data into the accounting/AP processing system with completed documentation.
- Assist in the completion of monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes including performing closing entries and supporting working papers.
- Provide assistance with ad hoc projects and reports.
- Provide assistance with the annual audit.
- Document all transactions with sufficient support for future audits.
- Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related tasks needed.
- Understanding of US GAAP and core accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with Net Suite or other ERP systems (Net Suite preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- An undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
