Position Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated full time Payroll Specialist to join our remote team. This role is perfect for a professional with foundational payroll or accounting experience who is eager to take the next step in their career. Reporting directly to the Owner/CEO, you will receive unparalleled mentorship while taking ownership of payroll processing for a portfolio of our clients.
You will be a key player in ensuring our clients receive the accurate and timely service they depend on.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage and process payroll for a dedicated portfolio of small business clients on various schedules (bi-weekly, semi-monthly, etc.).
- Ensure accurate data entry and calculation of wages, hours, deductions, and with holdings.
- Serve as a point of contact for client inquiries, responding professionally and escalating complex issues as needed.
- Assist with the onboarding of new clients by setting up their accounts and ensuring a smooth transition.
- Help prepare and review payroll reports to ensure accuracy and compliance before finalization.
- Maintain organized and confidential client payroll records.
- Support year-end processes, including the verification and distribution of W-2 forms for clients.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (Accounting, Business, HR) is strongly preferred.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in payroll, accounting, or a directly related field is required.
- Demonstrated experience with at least one major payroll or accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, ADP, Paychex, Gusto).
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks for multiple clients.

Work Schedule & Arrangement:
- Position Type: This is a full time, fully remote position.
- Hours: 40 hours per week
. - Schedule: Work hours are flexible but must be performed during core business hours (Monday-Friday, approximately 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern Time) to ensure effective client support and team collaboration.
