What We’re Looking ForWe are currently seeking an experienced Senior Tax Associate to join our tax practice in our Irvine, CA office. The ideal candidate will be capable of working with minimal supervision, demonstrate strong analytical skills, and possess a solid foundation in tax regulations and accounting principles. This individual should be proactive, detail‑oriented, and passionate about tax and accounting.
What You’ll DoAs a Senior Tax Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting for our clients.
Specific Responsibilities- Preparing complex multi‑state, consolidated corporation, partnership and individual tax returns.
- Analyzing complex tax issues and applying your knowledge to provide solutions.
- Staying updated with changes in tax laws and regulations, and applying this knowledge to client work to ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Coordinating various phases of tax engagements, from planning through execution.
- Supervising and reviewing the work of associates, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the engagement supervisors, managers or partners.
- Ability to prioritize effectively, multi‑task, handle multiple assignments, meet deadlines and thrive in a fast‑paced environment with minimum supervision.
- Technically savvy with excellent organization, writing and communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented with a commitment to accuracy and high‑quality work.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor associates.
- Proactive and self‑motivated, with a focus on personal and professional development.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a tax or accounting role.
- CPA license or progress towards licensure.
- Familiarity with ASC 740, SSAP 101, Form 1120‑PC, and Form 1120‑L is preferred but not required.
This position involves working both in our office and at client locations, which may require occasional travel using your personal vehicle. While moderate overtime is a possibility throughout the year, peak periods may require additional hours to meet engagement deadlines.
