Accounts Payable Clerk — Hunt Valley, MD About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team on-site in Hunt Valley, Maryland. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments. The Accounts Payable Clerk role offers stability, hands-on experience, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a fast-paced organization. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys managing a high-volume workload and wants to grow within a supportive accounting team.

Key Responsibilities for the Accounts Payable Clerk:
  • Process and code vendor invoices to appropriate general ledger accounts, departments, and projects
  • Maintain vendor records and assist with annual 1099 reporting
  • Administer corporate credit card programs, including reconciliations and invoice entry
  • Process employee expense reimbursements and weekly payment runs
  • Reconcile AP-related general ledger accounts and prepare month-end accruals
  • Assist with year-end audit support related to accounts payable activity
  • Handle incoming AP correspondence (electronic and mail)
  • Support the Controller and finance team with special projects as needed
Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Clerk:
  • 2+ years' AP experience. Recent college graduates looking to start their accounting career also encouraged to apply!
  • Experience using Sage Intacct or similar accounting system a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Schedule: M-F 100% on site in Hunt Valley, MD to start. Opportunity for up to two days work from home after initial training period.
Salary: $45,000 – $65,000 depending heavily on years of experience
