Accounting Manager

LifeSpanMD is seeking an Accounting Manager to play a foundational role in building a best‑in‑class finance function. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a hands‑on leadership position for a motivated accounting professional who wants to own the close process, develop a team, and grow with a high‑velocity healthcare platform.

• Own the end‑to‑end monthly accounting close across a multi‑entity healthcare organization, including close calendar management, account reconciliations, and on‑time delivery of accurate financials.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Staff Accountants. Set clear expectations, review work product, and build technical capabilities across the team.
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to accounting policy.
• Support the financial integration of acquired and partnering practices, interfacing directly with practice‑level leaders and operations managers.
• Streamline and scale accounting processes as the organization grows, identifying automation and efficiency opportunities across the close cycle.
• Support external reporting obligations, including lender compliance reporting and audit coordination with external auditors.
• Partner directly with the CFO on variance analysis, ad hoc financial analysis, and internal reporting to support operational decision‑making.

• Base Pay Range $125K to $160K
• Annual Bonus Potential up to 12% of Base Pay

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience with multi‑entity consolidations and intercompany eliminations strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software required;
  Quick Books or Intuit Enterprise experience a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Effective communicator with the ability to lead a team and partner with senior leadership.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.

This position will report to the Accounting Manager and will work closely with a strong, motivated finance team.
