Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assists in maintaining General Ledgers for all corporations, to include Journal Entries.
- Assists in producing monthly financial reports for all corporations, including but not limited to balance sheets, income/expense statements and analysis spreadsheets.
- In concert with AM, prepares and maintains all applicable records for annual independent certified audits, including but not limited to comparative analysis of certain expenses such as insurance, income, prepaid insurance, room and board, thrift stores income, and expense spreadsheets.
- Copies of federal or state monitoring reports, site visits, field audit reports, etc.
- Copies of correspondence with agencies regarding any compliance problems, inquiries, warnings, etc.
- Additional information required for audit, including but not limited to copies of bank statements and reconciliations, revenue and debt confirmations, detail of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Sales Tax: posts sales tax expenditure(s) to appropriate corporations automated books; attends to any adjustments, late reports, notices, etc., and advises Accounting Manager of same.
- In coordination with AM, prepares and maintains all applicable records for the following: cross company billing on a monthly basis; balances cross company accounts by department.
- Home Office costs: based on monthly allocation chart, invoices each corporation for its share of home office costs (training fees, gas, postage, insurance, etc.). Posts home office allocations to appropriate corporate books and makes payables as appropriate.
- Depreciation: posts monthly depreciation expenses (based on depreciation schedule) to appropriate corporation, as provided by the AM.
- Maintains all records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Produces and maintains procedures manual for areas of responsibility.
- Prepares semiweekly balancing of Sales Recaps.
- Prepares semimonthly Excise Tax Reports.
- Reconciling of Insurance Balances.
- Asset Audits.
- Non-Capital inventory listing and control.
- Annual 1099 Review.
- Responsible for reviewing and maintaining all billing information which includes but not limited to the following: entering Service Authorization rate changes; billing to HUD, State, and Medicaid; reconciling all billing and receipts for billable items; residential census count.
- Assists the Accounting Manager, as required, with the reconciliation of bank accounts for all corporations on a monthly basis, to include Client Trust and Client Banking accounts.
- Balances Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable aging to general ledger monthly; submits to Accounting Manager for approval and maintains files of the same. Balances cross-company accounts and submits to Accounting Manager for review.
- Performs other essential functions as required or assigned by the Accounting Manager or Director of Fiscal Operations.

Education and/or ExperienceHigh school graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required; minimum four year (Bachelor's) degree in Accounting required. Accounting experience may be considered in lieu of degree; two years for each year of degree. Experience should be in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable and general bookkeeping. A thorough understanding of the interplay between balance sheet and income statement transactions.
Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to develop and write reports, compile spreadsheets and write procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and auditors.
OtherSkills and Abilities
Ability to deal courteously, tactfully and efficiently with management, auditors and staff members.
Ability to set own work priorities based on workload and urgencies.
